Emalee Hurd is a senior at University High School and is excited to be participating in her first year of journalism class. She loves to create and write new things that inspire others to write something of their own. She enjoys journaling for her devotions. She believes writing is a way to express and captivate her feelings and opinions that no other form of art can. Her favorite part about being a new journalist is photography. She finds light in capturing people in a unique way that can only be seized by the lens of a camera while also exploring nature.. Another one of her favorite parts about being a journalist is getting to reach out and discover information about others to better understand a sport, club, or different activity that someone is involved in her community.
