Gabe Zacharias (he/him) is a driven and committed senior at Normal University High School. He is known for his dedication to athletics, but he also loves to include time for family and friends. Gabe balances playing basketball, running track, and weightlifting almost daily. His passion for pushing himself physically is able to allow him to become the strongest person mentally that he can become in all aspects.This year is Gabe’s first year into the subject of journalism, where he’s discovered a new hobby for storytelling and capturing moments that evoke emotion and purpose. Through this class he was able to become very interested in photography and capturing emotions, he recently launched his own business and website, showcasing his talent behind the lens. His Instagram, @photography.gabez, offers a glimpse into his work, creating unique pictures and visuals that make the observer create their own image.
Gabe’s favorite part about being a journalist is the opportunity to connect with people and explore new ideas. However, his favorite part is the ability to share stories whether that be through a visual or a piece of writing that would allow for a person to become inspired.
