Katy Kinsella is a junior at University High School, in her first year of journalism. Finding joy in creative photography, Katy enjoys the challenge of finding the perfect shot. She likes intriguing stories, whether that be about sports, theatre, or even just daily social life. Her favorite memory of journalism thus far is taking photos in Stroud, and laughing with Lana Alcorn and Adele Luallen (12) over failed photography attempts. She enjoyed that experience because of how much she learned from it. Katy loves to immerse herself in the subject of her writing and dive deep into research, finding immense pleasure in knowledge. Her role models in the realm of reporting and journalism are Sarah Jacobs and Mayaih Russell who recently graduated. Katy is excited for the opportunity to become an editor next year and the creative freedom that comes with that responsibility.
