Avery Read is a senior and this is her first year in journalism. She takes part in working on different spreads of the yearbook as well as writing articles about special events and activities that students participate in and outside of school. Avery takes pride in interviewing people who are not seen as much in the yearbook and makes sure everyone in U-High, both students and staff, are represented in the yearbook. Avery’s favorite thing about being in journalism is being able to highlight U-High students throughout the year, and having an opinion on the yearbook. Her favorite activities in journalism are the share circles to kick off the class, and the holiday parties for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
