Lola Clayton, a senior at U-High, is passionate about making the most of her final year. She plays volleyball both for her school and outside of it, showcasing her dedication to the sport. Lola loves traveling, spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and surfing. This year marks her first experience in journalism, a subject she has thoroughly enjoyed. She especially loves capturing school events through photography and interviewing fellow students to tell their stories. Her favorite topics to write about include school events, particularly when she can focus on a specific individual. Lola also values shedding light on underrepresented or lesser-known stories, believing it’s essential to educate and inspire others. To her, journalism is an exciting way to preserve the memories of the 2024-25 school year, whether by photographing sporting events or writing engaging articles that highlight meaningful moments.
